Join us for Open Mic Comedy Night at Blue Ridge Comedy Club.Bristol has been growing a terrific local comedy scene for almost 5 years now and this is where our best comedians go to work out their new stuff or polish their older bits.Grab your friends, and a drink, whether it's a stiff cocktail or a delicious mocktail, we've got you covered.Doors open at 7 PM, so come early to grab a seat, and get ready for a great night. If you plan to take the stage, you can sign up in person before 8pm.  Anyone that arrives after 8 pm may not be allowed on stage as we encourage all of our performers to arrive before the beggining of the show.This show is hosted by Shawn Carter. You can find his latest album "Boston to Bristol" at Blonde Medicine online.We’re proud to offer a friendly atmosphere where everyone can relax, laugh, and have a good time. Best part? He began doing stand-up in the Crescent City and has since performed in comedy clubs and festivals across the world, including The Melbourne International Comedy Festival (2011, 2018), The Glasgow Comedy fest (2016), the Dublin Comedy fest (2017), and The Edinburgh Fringe (2017, 2019). Other festivals appearances include SXSW (2016, 2017, 2018, 2022), The Moontower comedy festival (2012, 2013, 2014, 2019), Just for Laughs Chicago (2013), Just for Laughs Toronto (2013) and Just for Laughs Montreal (2008, 2010, 2012, 2016, 2018). He's performed on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham (2009), Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (2010), Conan (2011, 2013), and Comedy Central’s The Half Hour (2013). He’s dynamite, even with ordinary material, turning standard Brooklyn hipster jokes into a stomping, roaring, tour de force, and elevating a bit about sex-performance anxiety into high-stakes comedy.
