Join us for Open Mic Comedy Night at Blue Ridge Comedy Club.Bristol has been growing a terrific local comedy scene for almost 5 years now and this is where our best comedians go to work out their new stuff or polish their older bits.Grab your friends, and a drink, whether it's a stiff cocktail or a delicious mocktail, we've got you covered.Doors open at 7 PM, so come early to grab a seat, and get ready for a great night. If you plan to take the stage, you can sign up in person before 8pm. Anyone that arrives after 8 pm may not be allowed on stage as we encourage all of our performers to arrive before the beggining of the show.This show is hosted by Shawn Carter. You can find his latest album "Boston to Bristol" at Blonde Medicine online.We’re proud to offer a friendly atmosphere where everyone can relax, laugh, and have a good time. Best part? - Join Kristi Burke for a night of comedy to raise money to help the Pride Community Center of the Tri-Cities! 80% of ticket sales will go towards a new physical location for the PCC to hold events and provide a safe space for their community.Performers include:Michael RoseShawn CarterShawn started performing in Boston in 2002 and went on to become “Comic in Residence” at The Comedy Studio, a semi-finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival, and the host of the city’s longest-running open mic at Sally O’Brien’s.He later created the hit comedy debate show Pick a Side Stupid and was featured in The Boston Globe. - Josh Gondelman is a writer and comedian who incubated in Boston before moving to New York City, where he currently lives. He recently worked as the head writer and an executive producer for Desus & Mero on Showtime. Additionally, he contributed to the final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which was a thrill for both him and his parents. Prior to that, Gondelman spent five years at Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, first as a web producer and then as a staff writer where he earned four Emmy Awards, two Peabody Awards, and three WGA Awards. His debut standup special People Pleaser (2022) was produced by Comedy Dynamics and is available to stream now, as is his most recent special, Positive Reinforcement (2025), which was produced by Blonde Medicine.If Josh's face seems familiar, you may recognize it from his appearances on Conan (TBS), Late Night With Seth Meyers (NBC), and The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS). But you may also know his voice from his regular appearances on the NPR news quiz show Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me. Gondelman is also the author of the essay collection Nice Try: Stories of Best Intentions and Mixed Results published September 2019 by Harper Perennial. And, if you remember this far back, he was the co-creator of the popular Modern Seinfeld Twitter account.
