Blue Ridge's Funniest Competition is BACK!

In past years this competition has been included as part of the Blue Ridge Comedy Festival but this year we are making each of them their own seperate events to maximize our fun with two amazing back-to-back weekends in December!

In our search for the funniest people in the region we are accepting submissions from comedians that live within 300 miles of Bristol TN.  

It cost only $10 to apply and the top 3 comics from the competition will receive automatic acceptance into the Blue Ridge Comedy Festival the following week as well as cash prizes.

This is a great opportunity to perform for a sold-out show and Blue Ridge Comedy Club will provide a high quality video of your set, mixing audience mics in order to capture the full experience.

1st Place: $300
2nd Place: $200
3rd Place: $100

How the competition will work:

A committee will review submissions and invite 24 comedians to perform December 4, at 7pm or 9pm.  

Preliminary Round:

12 comedians will perform 5 minutes each.  
6 comedians from each show will advance to the semi-finals December 5, 7:30pm.

Semi-Final Round:

12 comedians will perform 7 minutes each.
6 comedians from this show will advance to the Finals December 6, 7:30pm

Final Round:

6 comedians will perform 10 minutes each.
Top 3 will recieve a cash prize and automatic acceptance into the 2025 Blue Ridge Comedy Festival.

Winners will be decided by a panel of 3 judges along with audience vote.  The judges will score comedians on a scale 1 - 10 on Stage Presence, Originality, Audience Reaction.  The audience vote will count for 20% of the total score.
